As far as tutorial videos are concerned, I find that there are a lot of how to draw videos that only teach you to draw one specific thing or some set of things in one specific way, and they don't tend to break down the basics or explain visualizations. They just kinda speedpaint and throw music over it.
That's not to say that speedpaint tutorials can't be helpful, but rather that they don't teach as much as someone who sits down, does something, explains what they're doing, and gives helpful tips along the way like where to hold the pencil or a new way of thinking about the subject matter.
