Let's be honest: the left lost connection with these people, while right-wing extremists have connected with them and exploited their feelings , but we social democrats know that the project they embody is not good for citizens. Socialists and social democrats share the lives of these people, but many of them no longer seem to be interested in our views as they were in the past. Therefore, the main challenge for the left is to reconnect with that portion of the citizenry that used to accompany our project and that has turned to options associated with right-wing populism.

We must listen to their frustrations and Phone Number List and make it viable for a progressive program to seriously address the concerns of those working people to whom we feel linked. The campaign carried out by our party, the SPD, highlighted this need. It is no coincidence that the motto was "Respect." I think the success of German social democracy is that we focus on being a left-wing party that defends the interests of ordinary citizens. Socialists and social democrats are successful when we sincerely dialogue with the real problems of citizens.
