I dreemd of bein a spice rak when I was a little girl

It's an old shirt and some leftover fabric. It's not really meant to be worn, but the shirt kind of helps it hang up with a clothes hanger. I've thought about wearing it for Halloween to be a spice rack, since that's still possible, but I probably have better things to wear for that.

I remember when the forum got started that we didn't really want to have a double post rule. So no shame here for that.
That top looks interesting. Maybe it's the lighting but I'm not sure how it looks. Perhaps when worn it'll look far better.

Anyway, since I'm moving into the dorms later next week, I decided to do a little D.I.Y. nonsense by making something like a spice rack. I didn't really care about alignment or making everything straight since it's going to be hanging in an old dorm building that's so old that it doesn't even have the electrical capacity to fit an elevator. In either case, it's a neat little idea I got from a project back from Apparel in high school.

I suppose another update in my hobbies department is that I've started studying German on duolingo. It's a decent site that's set up basically like free Rosetta Stone.

Do you cosplay at conventions?
No I drink horrifically at conventions.
They I try to hook losers up.
Well OK, I try to hook those with hop up first. then the losers.
Well OK I make a loud announcement looking for those who want to hook up. I try for those.
After they are all gone then I try to teach creepy losers how to talk to women.. or I try to free climb the building instead... Or there was that convention I tried to pick a fight with a famous punk group and the cops who were arresting them, at the same time..
I make bad life choices as a hobby.

The only other thing I do that can be considered an actual hobby is listen to music. I spend a lot of time listening to music.

When I'm not making the next School Days I like to cook lobster thermidore and grilled persian (cat). My life is wonderful

I don't generally go to buy things, although I did find a lovely "comics for $1 each" box from a vendor, and that's how I wound up with nearly all of the Phoenix Endsong run (minus one volume, to be exact) and copies of the April and May '89 run of the Huntress. (That's the 1st and 2nd issues of that run, for those of you keeping up at home.)
I mostly attended that convention because my friends and I worked on a lot of Kingdom Hearts stuff as a hobby and were like "Man, let's go to a con and enjoy the sights and socialization." Let me also add here that Marluxia's scythe was a b---- to make. I think we worked on it at least a solid thirteen hours straight.

I've never cosplayer in my life. I usually avoid conventions. I understand money is short but sometimes they oversell me something I can literally make myself.

The only "Convention" I've ever been to is held at my college, but yes, my friends and I cosplayed Kingdom Hearts there. We even crafted our own weapon props and styled our own wigs. That was fun.

I haven't been doing much lately, but relevant to this thread, I made myself some flowy arm warmers earlier today by taking an old pair of leggings, cutting them to arm's length, and adjusting the ankle side to match with my bicep and turning the other end under for a quick hem for a more even look. With some more work and LED lights, these would probably be great for either Vocaloid cosplay or a rave. For now I'll just appreciate that I made a thing at all.

I think the movies are great. Before the movies only spiderman and x-men were the biggest comic sellers. But now Marvel is giving up mantles to characters we never heard of.
That's the difference between marvel and DC, one has Legacy while other tries too hard to adapt to the times.

I've recently hated Marvel more. I feel like they are looking for new fans and not old fans.
Didn't the last Avengers movie make them more cash than all their comics the last 10 years combined or something like that?
I can see why they would focus less on the comic side by not understanding what creates their movie material and just seeing the dollar signs.

I dunno what I was expecting, but that wasn't exactly it. I guess I kinda pegged you as more of a Victorian-based outfitter, or like, steampunk or something. Eh, my brain is weird. That'd be a cute mascot for here, although I assume that was the point?

I think it'd be quite interesting to see your work. I don't believe I've ever seen your art, come to think of it.
But, yeah, I feel you about Pokemon Go. It needs to Pokemon Stop, or at least Pokemon Slow Down. Not only do they keep crashing their own servers, but some crazy people do crazy things because they aren't paying attention...Not everyone is bad, I'll grant that, but it is frustrating when no one seems to talk about anything else, especially on social media.

I review other people's stories. I get some money out of it. But completely related to books. Seems like work.
I don't have much hobbies except I used to enjoy walking at the park. But now with the invasion of pokemon go. I can't get my peace and quiet.
I often like to draw my own fashion line. But I keep those top secret.

Ah, yeah, sprites. I have some friends (shocker, I know) who are into coding and the like, and I heard the same thing from one of my friends about his video game design class.
I too have an inclination for American comic books, and am personally not a part of the Marvel vs DC war because both have good products and each has its own style. As far as Marvel goes, I'm an X-Men kinda girl and I have all but one of the issues of Phoenix Endsong and a few collections, notably including the Emma Frost original first volume. As forDC, I suppose the Batman universe, but not Batman himself, if that makes sense. The Creeper, Zatanna, and Harley Quinn are some of my favorites, but as far as the Justice League goes, I've loved Hawkgirl in the cartoon when I was little. Little me was like "She has red hair like me! I wanna be strong like her!" Lately a friend of mine is dragging me into Etrigan the Demon and John Constantine and the Spectre. Then again, this is the same friend of mine who loves Lobo...ah, that DC nerd, I love her. I do have copies of the April and May 89 1st and 2nd issue of one iteration of the Huntress lying around here somewhere...

Well I enjoy American comics. I like playing video games a lot and trying to make indie games. I'm not good at the coding. But I'm learning. Sprite design is horrible too.

Clearly this forum is targeted to anime/manga fans who are interested in writing and the visual arts, but surely there's more to us than storytelling and reviewing. I suppose this topic can get a little personal, if you want it to, but I'd consider it more of an open invitation to brag on yourself a little.
Even outside of my writing and drawing, I fancy myself to be something of an interesting person. I love history, and weaponry, and pushing my body as well as my mind. Because of that, I find myself involved in some shenanigans with my friends, from creating cosplay prop weapons to sparring with them, and outside of that I practice parkour and slacklining. I consider myself moderately decent at both. Leaning more towards the art side, I also do some voice acting dabbling and mess around on music programs once in a while. Then I proceed to dance, in something of a mixture of hardstyle and industrial dance styles.
I just learn to love new things, and how they work. Sure I tend to gloss over them for a brief overview before picking apart the finer details, if I'm interested enough, but I don't think that necessarily subtracts from my interests. At this point in life, I consider myself a Jack of Most Trades and Ace of None. I'd love to have the honor of bearing the title Renaissance Woman someday.
Now, what about you all? We're a relatively small bunch, and I suppose this could turn into something of an off-topic topic about other stuff in general, but hey, this place could use a little life, yeah?
