Credits please in the future . Have you forgotten ?

Image 1
Image 2 (BLOG) (OFFICIAL WEBPAGE) <- included this because this artist & his/her works is unusually difficult to locate .
Image 3 (Artists only . Artwork MIA = not confirmed)
Image 4
Image 5 & Image 6 (Both from the same artist)
Image 7 (In my follow list on Pixiv)
Image 8 (Also in my follow list on Pixiv)

About Pixiv Fantasia

Though I for one hope it'll happen to this site , it's another case of 'too soon to start' . Pixiv has millions+ artists there , while we only had like 5 or 6 here . Also , there are many other complications that may turn such idea into some cheesy role-playing-for-fun-only we are all too familiar with (it's in all of those anime/manga forums in a form of a section or a thread) .

EDIT : Oh , you need to be registered as a member to view the link , if I recall correctly .

EDIT 2 : This can be good practice though , in a form of a workshop (though it won't get many to join in actively) . But as a contest , it just won't work .

=______= ... Another one of the many ... *Dragging this off-topic*

Okay , maybe there are a handful of images that are really difficult to track down it's original sources , so I don't mind digging them out for it's original source , even if it's possible for me to yield a blank result . But this kind of issue is so rare , I begin to question on whether you think that it's difficult to even use Google Reverse Image Search and Tineye . I mean , you have the image weblink to boot ...

Most of your images came from Zerochan (I'm an 'inactive' member of that site and it's sister , Minitokyo) , an image hosting site like Danbooru and E-Shuushuu and just like any image hosting sites , they have tags and links that directs you to the original source of the image (and even to others sites where they're residing and owned in as well) most of the time simply because it's not theirs nor the site's to begin with ; they encouraged you to go there and view it there - to show respect for the artist who made them . Is it that difficult to even bother looking for and clicking them at all ?

I also wonder whether you're making full use of the search feature and actually googling out their names if provided , even if it's written in Japanese (Use Google Translate for this case) .

If you want to actually get even decent at doing so , do the above three to your images saved in your PC and slap credits & links on to them . Most of the time it's not difficult at all - I was bad at it before , so do those who does this 'crediting' services and most certainly , working , professional artists who were once amateurs were . You'd be surprised that all of their references and resources are credited to an extent .

Practice makes perfect . So , don't be lazy and actually do this on your end . I'm not interested in being your personal (or anybody's) "chauffeur" on this matter .

EDIT : I'll put up a tutorial sort-of (more like my personal process on how I locate the original source) on this when it gets a decent demand on .

EDIT 2 : Forgot to add something in red .

These are some of my favorite. I don't follow anyone extensively, so I do apologize if I do not link the pics directly to their home page. I do have their name.

I'll provide links soon though.

@Lumaria
As long you're providing the names of artists who made them , you're doing fine there . If you can't find them still , I'll try on my end .

I'm just sitting here wondering how Tara managed to get religion out of a discussion about citing users???

More to the point, though, I don't really follow anyone on many image hosting sites in the first place, and I personally don't use Pixiv at all, even as a search place for artwork. The ones posted are extremely high quality, though, and I appreciate that in every work I've seen, and usually such good works are cited back to a Pixiv user.
I know , right ? I don't know how to even reply back to such 'warped' replies and it's already very bad on a reply before that , using other examples that aren't even related , wording in a way we feel like his/her (or anyone who shares the same idealism) disposable underlings and using reasons that contradicts it's own so hard , even the naive can see them ... but he/she can't . How ? Just ... how ... what am I supposed to say .

I have more works that are awesome to me that are from Pixiv alone . You want me to list them all out in a thread ? I know some needs some more exposure .

Sorry for the massive modification to the thread. Intentions were pure and don't mean to offend anyone. It is important to note that so long as you post the name of the artist, a link of where to find them or link of where the original author chose to host their work, then that is all we need. Organization is part of the rule. So please try to organize it as best as you possibly can to show which piece was made by which artist.

The forum wants to be as inclusive as possible. If we support artists and they catch wind, they might inclined to join here. Also as much as we like to change people's perception, we can't win em all. So long as the rules are being followed, no harm no foul.

Why don't we come back with a new approach? I never heard of Pixiv Fantasia so I'm excited to look into it.
