Draw a set of hands EVERYDAY either from reference or imagination.

Title says it all. It takes roughly 20 hours or so to be proficient at a new skill. 20 hours!!!
With that in mind, anyone interested in joining this workshop will immediately start the road to hand mastery.



Learn to fall in love with them. Remember: no pain, no gain! If you are drawing the same poses over and over again, add more variations. :)

Show it anyways :) That just means you'll see way BIGGER improvements as you continue to draw. This exercise is more for yourself than for others.

I wonder why. I personally use photobucket. You can sign up for a free account. When you upload a picture to it, you can just copy and paste the "IMG" URL and it should show.

Photoshop did some big update. And everything loads ten times as slow. But I'm still determined.

i'm so sorry for not keeping up with tihs. the truth is, alot of real life is going on, more than anyone knows. Particularly, no car. So right now i'm severely limited by supplies.

Sorry all. Most of my free time is being spent socializing during the holidays. I believe I need to draw 10 extra pages of hands within the week to appease the hand god.

Thanks, this exercise certainly feels like it's helping. It's getting much quicker to draw them. Looking forward to them mate :)

20 hours?
I have heard 1000 repetitions to make a reflex and 10,000 hours to mastery. I have not heard 20 hours before.
20 hours of me drawing hands and they are probably not at the point of having the correct number of fingers yet.
